The following resources have been collected to provide you, as a job seeker, with information to assist you in making informed decisions about your job search activity on the Internet.

The CDC recommends the following caution when accessing Job Search Sites and posting your resume on the Internet:

• Read each site's Privacy Policy to understand with whom tha data might be shared
• Make sure you can delete your resume after it has been posted
• Post your resume sparingly, and on sites that allow you to mask your contact information
• Make sure thes site lists an email address you can cancel if spam becomes a problem
• NEVER give out your bank account or credit account numbers
• Only give out your SSN after you have had a job interview

• Set your browser to nullify third party cookies, which allow advertising companies to track your moves. On IE, right click on your browser and select Properties. Then select Privacy from the tab. Next select Advanced. Here you can select the options that best suit your needs, including blocking all third party cookies.
