While you are free to choose any course as an elective in our program, some students elect to focus on specific areas. Some that have attracted interest are listed along with suggestions for electives that are particularly useful in providing a good background in the area. The elective suggestions are just that; you are not required to follow them, and in many cases, more electives are listed than you would want to take. However, you should discuss your plans with your advisor to have the information necessary to make informed choices that will be useful in fulfilling your career goals.
