Johannes Goebel

The director for Rensselaer's experimental media and performing arts center (EMPAC) conceives, implements, and manages the programming and operation of EMPAC, which spans from performances, productions, and artist-in-residencies to conferences and joint projects with the research and development communities of Rensselaer.

Johannes Goebel is an internationally known curator and composer. Goebel is the founding director of the Institute for Music and Acoustics at the Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie (ZKM) in Karlsruhe, Germany. A center for art and media, the ZKM is an international forum for experimental productions, research and exhibitions in the fields of art, science, and technology.
